Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination (CCI) was founded in 2000 by a group of Cambridge practitioners from a range of different backgrounds in the arts, education, drama and museums.
What brought us together was a common interest in developing the innate creativity of every individual – both young and old – through curiosity and imagination.
Over the past three years, we have worked with nearly 3,800 people across the East of England – including some 2,200 teachers and 1,100 schoolchildren, and diverse groups ranging from architects to an Asian women’s sewing group.
There are three main strands of CCI’s work:
- an innovative programme of creative workshops with children, educators, families, artists and community groups;
- a unique body of individually tailored training packages, workshops and seminars for educators and other professionals in partnership with the University of Cambridge Faculty of Education, and
- a number of ground-breaking research projects into the impact of creativity on learning.
Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.
