Thelma Mort is a painter originally from South Africa with a broad visual arts teaching experience, ranging from working with street children, running holiday art workshops, teaching drawing to adults and six years’ secondary schoolteaching, including History of Art. Currently she facilitates the Saturday Arts Club at Wysing with fellow CCI artist Anne Mie Melis, and runs workshops in other galleries in East Anglia. She focuses on developing skills and confidence ofthe learners, through using a variety of media and a playful approach. Thelma is due to start a residency at Histon Early Years Centre for the 2005 summer term.
