Christina Lorimer is a visual artist with a background in Drawing and Sculpture (MA Slade School). For many years, she worked as a Scene Painter, and taught art working with all age groups and levels of ability. With her extensive knowledge of Cave Painting and interest in Drawing, she has provded workshops for the Big Draw at the British Museum and recently combined with fellow artist Sally Brown in creating a pilot workshop ‘Shadow, Illumination and Animation: a Creative Exploration’ with children of North Haringay Primary School, London and the British Museum. She is currently working with Artist Partner Graham Tunnadine on “Vroom with a View”in Cumbria, an Arts Council North West’s (ACNW) Fusion Project, which is an Action Research looking at the value of using visual arts for raising awareness of social issues. She enjoys Artistic Collaboration as an exciting and practical way of maximising creative energy and expertise, and sees this as valuable counterbalance to the more solitary aspects of art practice.
